Claude is now generally available in Xcode (www.anthropic.com)

Anthropic’s Claude is now generally available inside Xcode 26, letting developers connect their Claude account to power in-IDE coding intelligence with Claude Sonnet 4. Once signed in via Xcode’s Intelligence preferences, Sonnet 4 provides a conversational coding assistant that automatically gathers project context, preserves conversation history, and accepts file attachments to help debug, refactor, and build features. Integrated coding tools let you generate documentation, get explanations for highlighted code, create SwiftUI previews and playgrounds, and make inline edits directly in the editor. This tight IDE integration matters because it embeds an advanced LLM into Apple’s native app development workflow, potentially speeding up feature development, bug fixes, and prototyping while keeping context local to the project session. Usage quotas are shared across your Claude subscription and Xcode, and the feature is available on plans that include Claude Code (Pro, Max, and premium Team/Enterprise seats).
