AWS inks strategic collaboration agreement with Posit, maker of RStudio/Positron (posit.co)

Posit (formerly RStudio) has signed a Strategic Collaboration Agreement with AWS to deepen integrations between Posit’s data science platform—Posit Workbench, Posit Connect, and Posit Package Manager—and core AWS services including Amazon SageMaker, Amazon Bedrock, Amazon EKS, Amazon S3, Lambda, Redshift and Athena. The SCA is aimed at simplifying migrations from legacy on‑prem systems to AWS, providing prebuilt templates and integrations for faster iteration, and enabling managed deployments that give IT teams governance, observability, scalability and security controls. For the AI/ML community this means smoother paths from notebook prototyping to production AI: teams can leverage SageMaker and EKS for scalable training and serving, Bedrock for foundation‑model access and agentic services, S3/Redshift/Athena for unified storage and analytics, and Lambda for lightweight serverless automation.
