The Walker S2 — a 5 ft 7 in, 154 lb biped that can walk up to 4 mph, swap its own battery in under three minutes, and uses dexterous, tactile-sensor-equipped hands — also carries an onboard large language model for voice interaction. UBTech says it has already shipped “hundreds” of units and plans to deliver 500 robots by end of 2025 and 10,000 by 2027, signaling a rapid scale-up from its recent mass-production demo that drew comparisons to sci-fi imagery.
