Cognizant announced it will roll out Anthropic’s Claude across up to 350,000 employees and integrate Claude models, Claude Code, the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and the Agent SDK into its engineering platforms. The deployment targets corporate, engineering and delivery teams and pairs Claude with Cognizant’s Flowsource™ (DevOps and SDLC orchestration), Neuro® multi-agent orchestration and Agent Foundry to move customers from AI experimentation to production. Cognizant plans to use Claude Code to accelerate coding, testing, documentation and DevOps, and to combine Anthropic’s code-understanding capabilities with its modernization frameworks for large-scale legacy refactoring. This is significant for enterprise AI because it demonstrates at-scale integration of a frontier LLM into existing enterprise toolchains with explicit controls for governance, human-in-the-loop approvals, and cost/performance management. Key technical implications include MCP-based access to developer tools and data, reusable domain-specific agents built with the Agent SDK, coordinated multi-agent workflows via Neuro®, and verticalized solutions (starting with financial services) that embed policy and monitoring for responsible deployment.
