Subscribers will get email notifications whenever the incident status is updated, and SMS alerts specifically when Claude creates or resolves an incident, enabling engineering and ops teams to track service health as updates occur. The notification capability matters because elevated errors in a major LLM service can directly affect production apps, customer-facing features, and downstream pipelines that rely on low-latency, accurate responses. Teams should subscribe and treat these alerts as part of their incident playbook: add automated retries with exponential backoff, circuit breakers, request caching, and provider fallbacks (or degraded UX modes) to reduce user impact.
