OpenAI launches an AI-powered browser: ChatGPT Atlas (techcrunch.com)

OpenAI has launched ChatGPT Atlas, its first AI-powered web browser, debuting on macOS with Windows, iOS and Android coming soon and free to all users at launch. Atlas integrates ChatGPT directly into the browsing experience: a sidecar chat panel provides automatic context for whatever’s on your screen, you can “chat with” search results, and the browser records history (sites visited and actions taken) so the model can personalize responses. Atlas also includes an agent mode that can perform small web tasks on your behalf; that capability is gated to Plus, Pro and Business subscribers.
