Cline announced Cline Enterprise, a governed, enterprise-ready distribution of its agentic coding platform designed to let organizations scale AI-assisted development without sacrificing security, cost control, or flexibility. Built on the same client-side architecture already adopted by Salesforce, Samsung, SAP and Oracle, Cline Enterprise keeps code and context inside your environment (no uploading, indexing, or model training on your data), while enabling direct integration with inference providers your org already uses—Bedrock, Vertex, Azure, OpenAI, Anthropic, Cerebras and more. The result is no vendor lock-in, predictable spend via negotiated cloud rates, and operational resilience when providers degrade. Technically, Cline Enterprise executes agents locally, enforces SSO and RBAC, and centralizes governance and remote configuration so platform teams can control who can use which models and providers. It exposes full observability with OpenTelemetry exports to Datadog/Grafana/Splunk, per-project cost breakdowns, model performance comparisons, and JSON output for custom reporting. Developers retain the same VS Code/JetBrains/CLI experience and lifecycle hooks for automated PRs, incident workflows, and multi-root workspaces. Pricing is per-seat (team tier free through 2025, then free up to 10 users, $20/user/month thereafter; enterprise plans via sales).
