Own Your HackerTube,an AI Curator Inspired by Karpathy's HackerTube (ownhackertube.cc)

A new web platform, "Own Your HackerTube," has been launched, inspired by Andrej Karpathy's concept of HackerTube. This unique service acts as a personalized video curator, allowing users to follow their favorite YouTube channels and define their content preferences. It leverages AI to sift through videos, selecting only those that align with the user’s specified tastes and standards, effectively filtering out irrelevant content and saving time. Every day, the AI evaluates new videos, provides reasons for its picks, and highlights key moments based on the creator's own video chapters. This innovation is significant for the AI/ML community as it demonstrates a practical application of AI in content curation—a field that has often struggled with information overload. Unlike traditional video summarization tools, Own Your HackerTube focuses on filtering and recommending videos that truly matter to the user, promoting higher engagement and learning. The platform's self-learning capabilities ensure that it adapts over time, further enhancing the relevance of recommendations. With flexible pricing options and a user-friendly interface, it aims to empower learners, founders, and communities to manage their media consumption effectively in an era increasingly dominated by AI-generated content.
