OpenAI announced a preview Apps SDK that lets third-party services run natively inside ChatGPT, demonstrating integrated apps from Spotify, Canva and Zillow that respond to conversational commands (e.g., create marketing assets in Canva, generate a pitch deck, then pull Zillow listings and refine them on an interactive map). The SDK uses open standards but today is limited to select partners; OpenAI also teased developer monetization tools including an “agentic commerce protocol” for in-chat instant checkout.
