Cerebras and Compute Nordic Finland Announces AI Data Centre in Mikkeli, Finland (investors.cerebras.ai)

Cerebras Systems and Compute Nordic Finland have announced the establishment of a new AI data center in Mikkeli, Finland, designed to support a scalable 165 MW of high-density AI computing. The initial phase of 50 MW is already under construction, backed by service orders with seven-year contract terms that provide long-term infrastructure for Cerebras' AI compute platform. This collaboration is expected to generate significant regional investment of €1.0–1.7 billion and create 80–250 permanent jobs, solidifying Mikkeli as a key player in the AI landscape. The data center is engineered for efficiency, featuring closed-loop cooling systems to optimize power and water usage, along with capabilities for waste-heat recovery. By enhancing the effective AI output per megawatt, Cerebras aims to address the growing global demand for AI infrastructure sustainably.
