A recent survey by Deloitte reveals that only 15% of organizations have successfully scaled the adoption of agentic AI, prompting many business leaders to reassess their operational strategies. The survey of 501 senior executives indicates that while 42% of organizations are experimenting with AI agents, they are struggling to create a cohesive roadmap for integration. Key barriers include a lack of unified data access (72%), trust and governance issues (70%), and the complexities of integrating new technologies (67%). Nearly two-thirds of leaders recognized the need to rethink their business models due to AI advancements, yet less than half have a clear vision for how AI agents will reshape their processes. To become "agentic enterprises," companies must prioritize relational and process transformation over mere technological changes. Many organizations are not adequately preparing their workforce, with only 20% feeling ready for AI adoption. Leaders anticipate significant job disruption as routine tasks are automated, necessitating investments in employee reskilling and infrastructure to meet future demands. By 2030, 74% of executives expect nearly half of their business processes to be redesigned around AI agents, underscoring the urgency for businesses to adapt their models, optimize their workforce, and embrace a more collaborative human-AI partnership to leverage the full potential of agentic AI.
