Elsevier has released its "Researcher of the Future" report, which reveals that only 45% of around 3,200 surveyed researchers feel they have adequate time to dedicate to research. While AI tools have proven effective for tasks such as literature reviews and data analysis, many researchers are concerned about the ethical implications, with only 22% believing that AI tools are currently reliable. To increase trust, researchers are seeking AI solutions that incorporate transparency, recency of data, and quality control—indicating a clear call for ethical AI development aligned with the standards of scientific research.
