I built Outerloop – manage your Macs as a Claude Code fleet from one dashboard (github.com)

Outerloop is a new system that transforms your existing Macs into a fleet of Claude Code workers, all managed from a single web dashboard. The setup includes one always-on Mac, acting as the hub that holds the ticket queue and scheduler, while other Macs can join as workers. This setup addresses a common issue where the machine capable of executing tasks isn't always readily accessible to the user. Instead of remote accessing a desk Mac or jotting down tasks for later, users can submit tickets from anywhere, allowing an appropriate machine at home to pick up the work seamlessly. For the AI/ML community, this innovation is significant as it streamlines the coding workflow and enhances collaboration among developers. Each unit of work operates through a ticketing system, with defined roles for writing, reviewing, and merging code, ensuring accountability and preventing conflicts of interest. Moreover, Outerloop emphasizes security and autonomy—merges require manual approval, and all actions are logged. The system also features capabilities to route tickets to specialized agents based on project type, optimizing the coding process. With simple setup instructions and the ability to manage resources effectively without reliance on cloud services or VPN, Outerloop presents a robust tool for enhancing efficiency in software development using AI technologies.
