Meta launches Vibes, a new way of creating and remixing AI videos (www.techradar.com)

Meta has launched Vibes, a short-form, AI-generated video feed inside the Meta AI app and at meta.ai that lets users browse, prompt-create, remix, and share clips to Instagram Reels and Facebook Stories. Videos can be made from text prompts, by uploading visual elements, or by tapping “remix” on existing clips; the Vibes feed personalizes recommendations as you engage and tags shared clips as Meta AI. The feature consolidates prior Meta tools (AI stickers, image-generation) into a single short-video workflow and is being previewed with creator partnerships to improve output quality. For the AI/ML community, Vibes is a real-world scale test of generative video models and user-facing prompt-to-video UX: it shifts creative input from on-camera performance to prompt design and remixing, potentially broadening who can produce visually ambitious clips. That creates demand for better temporal consistency, style transfer, sound design, personalization, and provenance/detection tools, while surfacing moderation and quality risks (cheap or uncanny “AI slop”).
