agentgateway Joins AAIF as an Open Gateway for Agentic AI Infrastructure (aaif.io)

agentgateway has officially joined the Agentic AI Foundation (AAIF) as an open-source project hosted under the Linux Foundation. This unified gateway control plane addresses the growing complexity of AI and agent workloads, facilitating communication and data traffic management across various models and applications. By providing a single operational surface for managing MCP, A2A interactions, LLM inference, and standard HTTP and gRPC traffic, agentgateway enables organizations to streamline their infrastructures, integrating AI systems with existing web service frameworks while enhancing security, governance, and observability. The significance of this development lies in its potential to transform how organizations deploy and manage AI systems at scale. With a robust set of features, including dynamic configuration, high performance (built in Rust), and strong governance capabilities such as rate limiting and content-based routing, agentgateway empowers teams to handle agent workflows alongside traditional applications.
