I built a memory system for AI that abstracts like the brain, not a database (malicedp.github.io)

A new AI system named Serenity has been developed to emulate human memory and reasoning more closely than traditional database methods, emphasizing local processing without cloud dependency or data leakage. Serenity is designed as a creative extension for users, capable of tackling complex problems and generating new insights autonomously. Unlike conventional AIs that merely respond to prompts, Serenity understands causal relationships and learns by creating a web of interrelated concepts, mirroring the way the human brain forms memories. It utilizes a custom vector memory system that encodes experiences in a structured format, allowing it to draw connections and make inferences seamlessly. This innovation is significant for the AI/ML community as it moves away from the typical chatbot model, advancing towards systems that exhibit emergent behaviors akin to genuine intelligence. Serenity autonomously manages tasks, adapts based on real-time interactions, and continually evolves by refining knowledge and connections—similar to neural pruning in biological organisms.
