I built a free, open-source learning app – Brainy (github.com)

The app tailors review schedules based on users' familiarity with the material, ensuring that study sessions are optimized for retention. Users can create flashcards and cloze deletions, and easily convert various academic materials like PDFs and lecture notes into study cards with just a few clicks. The significance of Brainy lies in its user-friendly design and adaptability, making it a valuable tool for students and lifelong learners alike. Its notebook-style organization allows for easy categorization of study materials, while being synced across devices ensures learner progress is accessible anytime, anywhere. Automatic backups safeguard user data, further enhancing its utility. As a project licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0, Brainy not only promotes open-source collaboration but also presents a significant step towards using AI to facilitate more effective learning processes.
