A new structured JSON format has been developed for creating machine-readable knowledge bases aimed at enhancing AI-driven responses by grounding them in actual content. This innovation, introduced by a civil engineering firm, addresses the limitations of traditional flat text formats like llm.txt, which often lose critical structural information necessary for AI reasoning. The JSON format retains relationships, source attribution, and metadata, ensuring that every piece of content links back to its original URL, thereby reducing instances of AI hallucinations and enhancing the accuracy of sourced answers. This specification is significant for the AI/ML community as it provides a robust framework for building knowledge bases that enhance the quality of AI responses.
