Aide-Memory – persistent memory for AI coding agents and teams (www.aide-memory.dev)

Aide-memory, a new auto-capturing and recalling memory tool for AI coding agents, addresses critical gaps in retaining contextual knowledge during software development. Currently, tools like CLAUDE.md and .cursorrules capture some insights, but they fall short in retaining corrective feedback, specific architectural decisions, and team guidelines across sessions. Aide-memory captures preferences, area-specific knowledge, and technical contexts in a dynamic manner, ensuring that information flows seamlessly between team members without manual edits. This tool enhances productivity by allowing agents to access relevant information based on project context, reducing repetitive corrections and promoting smoother team collaborations. Aide-memory utilizes six hooks throughout the session lifecycle to detect corrections and prompt reflections, while organizing knowledge into four layers: preferences, technical context, area-specific decisions, and team guidelines. As a result, agents can retrieve and apply scoped memories specific to the current coding area, improving efficiency and continuity in development. The integration with existing tools like Codex and Copilot further demonstrates its potential to create a more connected and intelligent AI coding environment.
