OpenAI has announced the launch of GPT-Rosalind, a large language model specifically tailored for biology workflows, named after the renowned scientist Rosalind Franklin. Unlike generic science models, GPT-Rosalind is designed to address significant challenges in biological research, particularly the overwhelming datasets from genome sequencing and the complexities of specialized subfields within biology.
