Is AI adoption at work flatlining? This major survey thinks so - but it's definitely not the end just yet (www.techradar.com)

A recent Gallup report indicates that AI adoption in the workplace may be stagnating, with only a modest increase in daily users—up just two percentage points since Q4 2025. The survey reveals that nearly half of U.S. workers (49%) do not use AI at all in their roles, though frequent usage is higher among management and in sectors like technology and finance. Notably, remote-capable jobs have seen significant growth in AI use, escalating from 28% in 2023 to 66% in 2025, while non-remote roles lag behind. These findings highlight a critical disconnect between AI deployment and actual utilization, as a separate study from Hitachi Vantara found that although 98% of companies are exploring AI, many struggle to achieve a return on their investments due to inadequate data infrastructure. Only 42% of organizations consider themselves data-mature, despite high-quality data being essential for successful AI initiatives. The reports suggest that meaningful use cases, along with a focus on trust, governance, and security, will be key to driving future adoption in the AI/ML landscape.
