CrowdStrike is acquiring AI security startup Pangea Cyber for about $260 million, a deal expected to close this quarter, and will fold Pangea’s capabilities into its Falcon platform to launch what it calls AI Detection and Response (AIDR). Pangea, founded in 2021, specializes in monitoring interactions among AI systems, users and software and hardening the enterprise AI lifecycle—particularly against prompt injection attacks that trick LLMs into bypassing safeguards or leaking sensitive data.
