The AI was designed to adjust brewing settings after each shot based on real-time performance metrics, allowing it to optimize espresso quality without the need for human expertise. The technical implementation involved creating an MCP server for seamless communication between the coffee machine and AI, processing time series data to inform adjustments, and leveraging a distinct personality for AI-James, modeled after a coffee expert.
