OpenAI, Nvidia and UK data‑centre operator Nscale announced a UK version of "Stargate" — a sovereign AI infrastructure push unveiled alongside a US‑UK “Tech Prosperity Deal” during President Trump’s state visit. The plan pairs tens of billions in tech commitments (reports cite up to $30B from Microsoft, $15B from Nvidia and $5B from Google, with the British package worth ~£31B/$42B overall) to expand data centres, build AI factories, and deploy large GPU fleets.
