Implementing a Sharia Chatbot as a Consultation Medium for Questions About Islam (arxiv.org)

A recent study has introduced a Sharia-compliant chatbot designed to provide users with accurate responses to questions about Islam. This innovative application utilizes Reinforcement Learning through Q-Learning and Sentence-Transformers for semantic embedding, ensuring that the chatbot delivers contextually relevant answers. By employing the CRISP-DM methodology, the system was built using a curated dataset of 25,000 question-answer pairs sourced from authoritative texts, such as the Qur'an and Hadith, formatted in JSON for scalability. The prototype, developed with a Flask API backend and a Flutter mobile frontend, has achieved an impressive 87% semantic accuracy in functional testing across various Islamic topics.
